DL.org is hosting a series of Working Group meetings in Greece and Pisa between mid-June and mid-July. The first of these face to face meeting of the User Working Group took place in Chania, Greece 11-12 June, when members of the Working Group (WG) had the opportunity to exchange experiences and expertise and open up an exciting discussion aimed at pinpointing the main interoperability issues pertaining to the User Domain and a list of propositions for the enhancement of the DELOS Reference Model. The two-day meeting was the perfect opportunity to foster on-going work and define the next steps moving forward offered a solid foundation for the rest of their work.

The first day of the meeting kicked off with the presentation on the DL.org project, its objectives and its expected impact with information on the collaboration tools facilitating activities performed by the Working Group. The presentation on the DELOS Reference Model focused especially on the User Domain with an interactive discussion bringing into sharp relief key ideas and thoughts on the enhanced version of the reference model. A series of presentations from the User Working Group members, Tiziana Catarci, Andreas Nürnberger, Manfred Thaller, Natalia Manola, Paul Polydoras and Akrivi Katifori, related their experiences, past work and ideas on the interoperability of users.

The second day was dedicated to classifying the main interoperability issues related to users that the Working Group members view to be top priority.
